Founding Attorney
If you are injured in car truck or motorcycle accident in the Bay Area or wine country and you make a claim the insurance adjuster that assigned to your claim is usually a regional adjuster focused on the region where your crash happened. These adjusters know who is regional and who isn’t.
So why does that matter? It matters because they write reports to their bosses justifying the values they place on a case and a big section of that is who your lawyer is what results they have in the venue where your case is going to be brought.
So if your lawyer is from another region of California the adjuster will note that and can use that to undervalue your case.
This is especially important in small towns and counties of Northern California where the adjusters know which attorneys go to trial and what their results are at trial.
Because at the end of the day the results your lawyer has obtained in the region where your case is is what the adjusters care about and what they will use to explain the reserve (case value) they place on your case If your lawyer has no trial results in a region of California like northern California that’s a red flag to the adjuster.
If your law firm is 500 miles away from the place where your accident occurred that’s a red flag. If the adjuster knows your attorney would have to fly to the town your accident happened and rent a hotel during trial and stay away from their family for weeks for a jury trial that’s something the adjuster is going to note and may effect your case value.
If the adjuster knows your attorney doesn’t actually practice in the courtrooms of Northern California that’s a red flag.
So If you pick an attorney from a different region and that attorney isn’t known to travel to the region where your case is the adjusters will know that and it will be in the very first report.
So what are the regions for California? Basically it’s three broad regions, Northern California, Central California and Southern California.
Our firm focus is Northern California where the local adjusters know our reputation and we capitalize on that reputation for our clients. So if you are looking for a personal injury attorney near you and your accident or injury happened in Northern California give us a call. If your injury happened in Southern California you should hire a firm from Southern California and if your injury happened in central California hire a local attorney there. It really does matter that you hire a regional fit to the insurance companies who are evaluating your case.
